Take Your Plastic Down #2: Planting Commitment, Harvesting Care
Puncak Mangu, May 5, 2024 — Once again, the forests of Puncak Mangu bore witness to small, sincere steps toward greater environmental awareness. As a continuation of the campaign titled "Take Your Plastic Down #2", Paralegals.id held another mountain clean-up activity as part of its ongoing commitment to preserving harmony between humans and nature—an effort aligned with the Tri Hita Karana philosophy, particularly the principle of Palemahan (harmonious coexistence with nature).
This event follows the movement launched in October 2023. This time, alongside members of Sispala Wana Bhakti Pertiwi from SMA Negeri 1 Mengwi, Paralegals.id also invited notary staff from Denpasar—long-time friends of the firm’s founder, Suka Antarayasa, and partner, Yuda Swastika, who once began their legal journeys together as junior notary staff.
Tracing Friendship, Walking Together
Amid damp leaves and steep forest trails, this cross-background collaboration served as a symbol that environmental awareness knows no professional boundaries. From student nature lovers to legal practitioners, all gathered with the same spirit: to preserve the natural beauty of Bali.
“We want to show that anyone can take part. You don’t have to be a nature enthusiast—just someone who realizes that the Earth is something we inherit, not own,” said Yuda.
The presence of notary staff reinforced the message that this movement isn’t exclusive to a single community, but belongs to anyone with a heart and moral responsibility for the environment.
Not Just a Hike, But a Commitment
From morning until dusk, participants trekked the path to Pura Pucak Mangu while collecting plastic waste scattered along the trail. The plastics were gathered into bags and brought back down the mountain by each participant. The principle remains the same: whatever you carry up, you must carry back down.
Through this activity, Paralegals.id affirms that social awareness and ecological consciousness are essential components of a fair and sustainable legal practice.
A Movement That Repeats
As a law firm rooted in local values and environmental sensitivity, Paralegals.id believes that efforts to protect the Earth must not end with a single event. Concern must evolve into habit.
“This small movement will continue to repeat, because care doesn’t end in a day.”
— Suka Antarayasa
Paralegals.id remains committed to continuing the Mountain Clean-Up movement as a collaborative space where professions, generations, and rising awareness unite—where law, nature, and cultural values walk together in lasting harmony.
